About the Doctor

Dr. Paul CogginsDr. Paul Coggins completed his undergraduate degree at Davidson College. He then studied at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill, and graduated with a Doctorate degree in general dentistry. He completed a general practice residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine's Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Coggins also earned a post-doctoral Master's degree in Public Health from UNC-CH, concentrating in health policy and administration.

Having been in practice for almost 20 years, Dr. Coggins is a public lecturer and Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He teaches at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry and at Wake Technical Community College as a part time facility member in the Dental Hygiene Department.

In the past, he has served as Chairman of the Wilkes County Public Health Department, and currently serves as a board member of Wilkes Regional Medical Center.

His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society.

An avid runner, Dr. Coggins currently serves as Past Chairman of the Board for the Wilkes Art Gallery.
